Hadestown Athens reviews
NOT a Greatest Hits show
Staging and projections awesome.
Large cast.
Great sound.
Awesome dancers/dancing.
Be prepared to have your phone locked-up and inaccessible to you during the show. You'll carry it, but in a locked bag. Efficient handling both in and out, but may not work well for some who need to be able to answer emergency calls.
Sounded/looked like a lot of singing to a track.
Madonna likes to swear and be a "bad girl" - how about being a dignified lady in her 60's. Unnecessary.
No one wants to see her do things or talk about things which are sexually suggestive. That's NOT entertainment.
Play more hits. That's what got you where you are. Only 4 all night. Yes, it's the Madame X tour and you should feature your most recent works, but at least pay homage to the hits that got you there. The vast majority wants to hear those songs, too.
Better than the reviews because I admired the design, but disappointing not to hear the hits from a long and deep catalog.
Note: there are still people who dress like Madonna, cross dress, etc. wasn't prepared. No biggie. I thought that would have ended 20 years ago.
Warning: there are the typical people who don't know how to act in public and don't get out with society very often. They drink too many overpriced drinks and yell at the stage and talk to friends throughout the show. Rude. Stay home.
